Gimonde Bridge
Historic bridge over the Malara River, associated with Roman road XVII and extensively rebuilt during the medieval period.

Gimonde Bridge, also known as the Old Bridge, crosses the Malara River near Gimonde. Its origins are associated with Romanisation and road XVII, which linked Bracara Augusta with Asturica Augusta through Aquae Flaviae. The structure visible today, however, reflects major medieval rebuilding. Built in schist masonry, it has six round arches, extends for approximately 144 metres and has a characteristic hump-backed deck. It was also used by pilgrims travelling towards Santiago de Compostela. It is classified as a Property of Public Interest.
